A happy (and less fat) fellow

Dr. Weeks’ Comment: This is a typical clinical response (easy loss of fat with no muscle loss and great increase of energy). What is atypical however, is the decision to write about his success to a major health newsletter,  the Life Extension Foundation Newsletter.  As a champion masters swimmer, this fellow makes a big splash!  His testimonial is impressive.

We are pleased to offer safe, effective, and cost-effective remedies such as HCG in our clinic.

To The Editor of Life Extension Foundation Newsletter:

Kevin Trudeau wrote a booked about the HCG diet called The Weight Loss Cure They Don’t Want You to Know About

Dr. Jonathan Wright has publicly written favorably about it in his newsletter after trying it himself successfully, and he uses it with his patients. So does Dr. Bradford Weeks who is now my Dr. I’ve gone from 228 down to 204 lbs in just over 3 weeks via HCG and the diet that I’m on with it and I have no food cravings, a really high energy level, I’ve been exercising more and I feel very good!

My goal is to get down to 190 lbs by mid November when we have our first Masters Swim Meet of the season, then try to stay at that weight. What I really like about this is I’ve never felt more motivated to stay on a diet because of the quick results you get from this, and I find that once I stopped eating carbs, all food cravings stop, so its not difficult to do this. On days when I really feel like I need more food than the 200 grams of protein in divided doses that this diet allows, I just give myself more protein, an extra hundred grams now and then.

During our sunday morning 90 minute Masters Swim Practice I probably burn 10,000 calories sometimes swimming more than 3 miles, a lot of it at race pace. The diet has me ingesting just 500 calories per day, but the HCG makes your body fat more easily metabolized so I’m really burning a lot more than 500 calories a day, the rest comes from burning my own fat. That’s how it was possible for me to lose 20 lbs in 12 days.

After jettisoning this weight, I’m swimming a lot faster and find myself wanting to work out more often, so I now go for morning runs on the trails in the woods near my house while holding the “heavy hand” weights which are cushioned grip bars with small weights on the ends that fit your hands. As I see it, the HCG serves as a catalyst to help a person overcome inertia and just get moving again after being too sedentary due to the rapid positive results it facilitates. Everyone I swim with is giving me positive reinforcement because they can see how fast I’m losing weight, now some of them want to try it too and I think they’ll contact Dr. Weeks soon. One of these people swims with me and probably weighs close to 300 lbs (he’s 6’5″ but still way too heavy). The other is a lifeguard at the pool who comes into contact with a huge number of people there. If she does the diet, I’m sure a lot of people will notice and will ask her about it.

I’m also finding that I have more energy than before, so I’m actually using some home gym equipment that I bought with the best intentions 2 years ago, used for a month, then stopped (a Bowflex), so I’m using that again now, along with an elliptical trainer that I’d initially used for 4 months then stopped.

I’m told that once the 6 weeks are over, I’ll be able to maintain my weight loss without the HCG due to my higher level of exercise and that they help you tweak the diet so that you can “widen” it and eat things that aren’t allowed on it, and still maintain your weight loss. In my opinion, this is something well worth looking into for an article in Life Extension Magazine. The best thing to read about it is the book Pounds and Inches written by Dr.A.T.W. Simeons, the British Dr. who developed this HCG Program while working in India http://weeksmd.com/?p=1722

Maybe you could have someone interview Dr. Weeks about his experiences in treating patients using this HCG Diet, and the interview would result in more orthomolecular MDs making it available for more patients. I don’t think enough people know about it. With obesity being like an epidemic in this country, we need all the weapons we can get to use against it to prevent heart attacks, strokes, diabetes and cancer. This HCG Diet is a huge weapon against obesity from what I’ve seen so far.

A Naturopath friend named __________ expressed some real concerns about what I’m doing though, and he’s NOT a fan of this diet. He doesn’t view it as “natural” to use HCG and he is going to send me info he thinks I should read. You might consider interviewing him too in order to have a really balanced article, then people can decide for themselves. I’m still waiting to see what he has to say about HCG. I personally don’t see any downside to this, but I’m waiting to see what _______ has to say about it because I’m just trying to keep an open mind.
