Your money or your life!

One evening, just after dusk, Jack Benny, then in his early 80s  was taking a stroll in Central Park when a young mugger held him up  by gunpoint  and said with menacing threat:

“OK Old man, your money or your life. What’s it gonna be!”

Jack  just looked at the mugger with a curious stare and said nothing.

Looking anxiously around to see if any witnesses were present, the mugger prodded  Jack with the gun and repeated:

“Come on, old man, answer me. What’s it gonna be, your money or your life!”

Whereupon Jack focused his glance on his assailant and said with considerable irritation:

“Don’t rush me young fellow,  I’m trying to decide!”

Thanks for the joke (and wise advice…)  Burton!
