As predicted – funding for cancer STEM cell treatments

Dr. Weeks’ Comment:  The first rule of corporate medicine is “If there is no money in the solution, the problem does not exist.”  We saw cancer TUMOR cells be targeted for 60 years because that was where the money was.  For the past decade, the fallacy of benefit related to the standard of care in oncology (chemotherapy and radiation) has trumped reason for while the real beneficial target for oncologists was the lethal cancer STEM cell, there was no money in treating cancer STEM cells so it was not discussed.  Now that money is being invested in treating cancer STEM cells,  we will see the new age of cancer care:  anti-inflammatory agents and immune enhancement agents arise.
