Few "plagues" have buffeted the American culture like AIDS.

AIDS has challenged established thinking and feeling in terms of political, moral and scientific constructs like no other illness in modern times.

As Nobel Laureate Kary Mullis, Ph.D. notes in his delightful book, Dancing Naked in the Mind Field,, there are no solid scientific research articles documenting a causal connection between the retrovirus HIV and the illness AIDS. He claims that there is no causal relationship and that the answers he received from leading scientists in the HIV industry were vague about this issue of cause and effect that one would have expected to be a clearly documented. Mullis claims that science by concensus (and for profit) has replaced scientific methodology. As a scientist, this particular Nobel Laureate is incensed. He even gets personal in his forward of another book (see Maggiore, below):

Dr. Mullis writes:

"As Leonard Cohen said: "There's a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in."

This little opus by Christine Maggiore is a crack of brilliant white light.

It comes brightly unto a parched pain of AIDS science gone dark in out time.

She writes clearly, for any reader, the simple truth about AIDS.

And finally it feels like rain.

You guys at NIH and the CDC, get out your umbrellas.

And you dry dogs at Glaxo-Wellcome, find a place to hide.

Because, thank truth and beauty and all the other little quarks,

At last it feels like rain."

A group of other Nobel laureates and scientists (The Group for the Scientific Reappraisal of the HIV/AIDS Hypothesis) and their leader, David Resnick editor@rethinkingaids.com) also are calling attention to the excess power of politics and business interests where there should be rational scientific discussion. Their monthly newsletter Rethinking Aids is worth a close read.

Peter Duesberg, Ph.D. has infuriated many proponents of the HIV=AID theory with his persistent and unrebutted challenges to this HIV/AIDS theory. His books Inventing the AIDS Virus and AIDS virus or Drug Induced? are so troubling that conventional AIDS scientists refuse to rebut them.

Christine Maggiore's story is worth considering. Maggiore is a heterosexual housewife and mother whose world was rocked off its foundation when she tested positive to HIV in a yearly physical. Swept up by the marketing tidal wave and positioned as a poster-child for heterosexual risk of AIDS (her message: "you too can get AIDS" was ), Maggiore toured the country preaching the AIDS HIV connection. Today her best-selling book What if everything your thought you knew about AIDS was Wrong documents the lies and mistakes rampant in the AIDS industry. This is worth examining closely: http://www.questionaids.com

Everyone is science today is chagrined by the rampant, self-serving hucksterism demonstrated most egregiously by Robert Gallo, the disgraced and former head of Tumor Cell Biology Laboratory (TCBL) of National Cancer Institute. Not only did he claim discovery of the AIDS virus and a diagnostic method for detection of AIDS when the legal system demonstrated that he "stole" this information from Pasteur Institute of France deserves credit, but he capitalized on his position of power and revealed by press conference (not by scientific study) that HIV caused AIDS. Timing being everything, he made the announcement after he patented his HIV test?.. See www.virusmyth.com for interviews by Gallo on Duesberg. Very good studies of smoke and mirrors evasive tactics.

So, we now know that the degree of controversy in the field of AIDS research is second only to the funding therein. Billions are being targeted for treatment of AIDs and few people really know what direction to go but no one is hesitant to take the money and run. It would be thrilling to have any small degree of accountability for how these funds are being used.

Now, the best and last work comes from a delightful friend and colleague whose thinking is meticulous and riveting. Harry Foster, a world-famous medical geographer in Victoria BC, is no stranger to paradigm- busting science. Famous and universally appreciated for pointing out (to the horror of the Canadian transportation industry) that road salt causes cancer, (actually the anti-caking arsenic in road salt was the culprit!) , Harry has now demonstrated not only the actual etiology of AIDS but also the cure. He points out that Senegal, right in the heart of the AIDS belt in Africa has a vanishingly low incidence of AIDS. Plenty of prostitution and plenty of infection but not much illness? "How could this be?", you might wonder! The answer is right underfoot - the soil of Senegal is rich in the anti-viral mineral selenium.

Now, how much will it cost you to discover what Dr. Foster knows about selenium and other factors at work in AIDS?

Nothing.

Harry thinks that the AIDS epidemic is such a terrible risk to civilization, that he published his book What really Causes AIDS on the web FOR FREE.

Go see for yourself: http://www.hdfoster.com/WhatReallyCausesAIDS.pdf

Meanwhile, play it safe and fortify yourself with the nutrients that Harry has demonstrated effectively treat AIDS. These include:

Selenium 600 mcg/day

Cystine - NAC 4 g a day

Glutamine 4 grams/day

Tryptophan 3 grams a day

L-glutathione 1 gram twice a day

As well as a good multi-vitamin and a good essential fatty acid.
