Dr. Weeks’ Comment:
TO THINKING AMERICAN CITIZENS:
(Pass this on if you consider it worthy)
Let’s review:
Last year, I told all my friends (and anyone else who listened) that Congressman Ron Paul, M.D. was the only viable presidential candidate.
I pointed out that he WON all the televised debates he participated in (remember that the TV polled the audiences after each debate and he won every time) but, not being a favorite of the Producers and Directors, he was subsequently ignored the next day by the media and essentially taken out of the running, again by the media, despite a groundswell of patriots trying to support the Ron Paul revolution.
I told all my friends then, and I write now to remind you: “If you find yourself on the wrong road, it really doesn’t matter whether you swerve “Right”or “Left”. If you are on the wrong road it is wisest to STOP and GET YOUR BEARINGS and TURN AROUND and GET ON THE CORRECT road.
Another metaphor I used in an effort to awaken my fellow citizens was “If I give you the choice every 4 years to be smacked by my Left hand OR my Right hand, would you consider that you are being given a good choice?”
Now, a year later, with change nowhere to be seen, the evidence becomes more painfully true every day: There is no significant difference between Republicans and Democrats – both are bought and sold by corporate entities and are not interested in serving the Constitution nor the people who elected them. Nancy Pelosi’s shameful new jet, Obama’s shameful cabinet members shenanigans (has the Treasury secretary Geitner paid his taxes yet? Speaking of which, bearing in mind that both he and his Republican predecesor Secretary Paulson both worked at Lehman Brothers, do you see any difference between the actions of the Republican Treasury secretary and the Democrat who replaced him on the ticket of “change”?) And now another 30,000 troops sent to the mid-east by the winner of Nobel Peace prize to fight, what??? only 100 remaining terrorists in Afganistan?
Change anyone?
And now Democrat Howard Dean, M.D. says kill the Senate health care bill –
and who can seriously disagree with him?
“This is essentially the collapse of health care reform in the United States Senate. Honestly the best thing to do right now is kill the Senate bill, go back to the House, start the reconciliation process, where you only need 51 votes and it would be a much simpler bill.”
What a pathetic and terribly persistent example of elected officials being bought off by industry: in this case, by the insurance companies and Big Pharma.
Barack Obama recently said that the Senate was very near to passing the health care reform bill that’s in there now, but one Democrat has come forth to voice opposition to the legislation: Howard Dean. The former Vermont governor and contender for the 2004 Democratic Presidential nomination said the Senate should drop the bill completely and start anew.

According to CBS, he said, “This is essentially the collapse of health care reform in the United States Senate. Honestly the best thing to do right now is kill the Senate bill, go back to the House, start the reconciliation process, where you only need 51 votes and it would be a much simpler bill.”
Dean favors a public health care option and an expanded plan for Medicare, so it’s his opinion that a bill that doesn’t include those reforms isn’t worthwhile. While Obama argued that the bill will expand coverage and control costs, Dean said, “There’s not much cost control in this bill.”
The debate in the Senate has come to a halt after Sen. Joe Lieberman disagreed with the Democrats’ plan to extend Medicare to the middle-aged.
