30 million Americans on NSAIDS – too risky.

Dr. Weeks’ Comment:  Over the prescription NSAID pain meds are endemic  – 30 million people are swallowing them  –  and they are lethal.

“….prescription NSAIDs is reported to be the 15th most common cause of death in the United States and it is conservatively calculated that in the last 3 decades 300,000 people in the United States have died from GI complications due to NSAIDs…”

Fortunately, there is a “centisble” option which is “safe, effective and cost-effective” : the whole food drink made from the crushed seeds of anti-inflammatory plants:  black cumin, black raspberry and Chardonnay grape. These seeds are tremendous aid in the control of pain and inflammation. These seeds can be bought (get organic) and ground each morning, but most people enjoy the benefits in a drink called SOUL

30 million people take NSAIDs daily …now read the rest of the story!

The use of prescription NSAIDs is reported to be the 15th most common cause of death in the United States and it is conservatively calculated that in the last 3 decades 300,000 people in the United States have died from GI complications due to NSAIDs (Wolf et al 1999). (perhaps a tenth of that in Canada)

A review paper published in the Annals of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine written by sports medicine physicians states,

“We do not recommend their use (NSAIDs) for muscle injuries”.(Ziltener et al 2010)

Here is another quote from a paper pushed in The Open Rehabilitation Journal;

“…NSAIDs are no longer recommended for chronic soft-tissue (ligament) injuries, and their use is cautioned in athletes who have ligament injuries.” (Hauser et al 2013)

Please read & share my likely controversial paper on NSAIDs. Give your patients the other side of the story. Print the FULL article onhttp://www.aptei.com/articles/pdf/NSAID_Paper_2014.pdf
