Dr. Weeks’ Comment: If you had a urinary tract infection, your doctor would collect some urine and do a test called a “culture and sensitivity” whereby the specific bacteria would be identified and then it would be cultured (grown out on various petri dishes) and then different antibiotics would be applied to the bacteria to learn which anti-biotic is more powerful against your peculiar bacteria. This is smart medicine rather than just “trying the most likely drug” and hoping it works. Well finally now, that smart medicine is being done with cancer patients.
