Dr. Weeks Comment: what do our former Secretary of Defense and a current Chief Justice of the Supreme Court have in common?
Unlabeled Aspartame in Dairy Products
“If you prick us do we not bleed? If you tickle
us do we not laugh? If you poison us do we not
die? And if you wrong us shall we not revenge?”
– William Shakespeare
Any American can petition FDA for any reason. That
includes Nobel Prize winners and dairy industry
bureaucratic fools.
This past week, two dairy groups filed Citizens
Petitions with FDA to be permitted to sweeten dairy
products (ice cream, yogurt, and chocolate milk)
with the artificial sweetener, aspartame, also
known as NutraPoison, without informing consumers
on the labels of such products.
Your petition will be assigned a docket number as if
it is an official court case, and there is no filing fee.
On a level playing field, that petition would go to the
Director of Food Safety at FDA. Upon today’s uneven playing
field, that man (Michael Taylor) was once Monsanto’s
attorney who wrote the labeling laws regarding
Aspartame and genetically engineered foods. Despite
cancers in laboratory animals, Taylor was legal counsel
(from the firm of King and Spalding) which got Aspartame
approved by FDA. At the time, the President of the company
which developed NutraPoison for human consumption was a
creep named Donald Rumsfeld. Taylor had replaced
another Monsanto attorney in that capacity, a cretin
Supreme Court justice named Clarence Thomas.
This week, Notmilk received hundreds of letters from
concerned readers. Each response repeated their concerns
regarding news of the Dairy Industry petition which seeks
to allow NutraPoison-sweetened garbage on products without
containing warning labels.
To all: It will never happen.
One out of every ten thousand Americans has a genetic disorder
called Phenylketonuria, or PKU. These unfortunate souls lack
the ability to process phenylalanine in its pure form.
NutraPoison contains phenylalanine.
Phenylalanine is an amino acid. Those lacking the enzyme
necessary to break down phenylalanine can suffer brain damage
or death by consuming aspartame.
FDA is well aware of this.
The anti-aspartame activists have a strong voice which
will stir this controversy.
Approval can logically never never happen, but if it does,
it will be a very effective form of population control for
those 31,500 Americans who will look death in the face each
time they consume this artificial dairy industry-supported
sweetener.
Eleven years ago (2002), I helped 60 Minutes do a story on
Aspartame. When months went by and it did not air, I got in
touch with friends at 20-20 who began an investigation. That
was the trigger which finally aired the conspiracy, although
60 Minutes broadcast a sanitized version. Here are the details
in my 2002 Notmilk column:
