Then, after a few months, shifts in the company required I move my cubicle and when I was informed that my new office space was in a basement, I asked my boss if I could take a big office plant which I had been nurturing down to the basement space when I moved. He thought a minute and then told me: “I don’t think a plant will live down there.” So I thought for a minute and decided I wouldn’t thrive there either and I gave my notice, and created a new career
