Dr Hahnemann (founder of modern homeopathy) was run out of about 30 towns throughout his life because of jealousy and hatred by the Pharmacists that his dilutional meds hurt their sales.

It wasn't until age 80 in 1833 when a 29 year old patient traveled from Paris to his than location of Kothen Germany.

He fixed her in one day and proposed marriage 3 days later (his wife of 50 odd years had died the previous year).

They married and she took "Sam" back to Paris where her family set him up in practice AND IT WAS ONLY THEN THAT HE BECAME FAMOUS.
