Take the Train to Whidbey Island (?)

Great news for Whidbey Island!!!

Sound Transit will begin service between Mukilteo (where you can catch the 15 minute ferry to Whidbey Island) and Seattle on June 2nd.

There will be three regular weekday runs to Seattle from Mukilteo in the morning at: 6:23, 6:53 and 7:23 a.m., arriving in Seattle at King St. station about 45 minutes later. Returning from Seattle to Mukilteo, there are three weekday runs at: 4:33, 5:05 and 5:35 p.m.

The Mukilteo platform is just a little ways up 1st St. from the ferry dock, so people can walk on the ferry and then walk to the station. Tickets can be purchased at vending machines on the platform. One-way fare between Mukilteo and Seattle is $4.00.

The King St. Station is located at 301 S. Jackson St. (or S. Weller St. & Fourth Ave. S.), near Qwest and Safeco Fields, Pioneer Square and the International District.
