Title: “Parasitic Metabolic Coupling in Cancer: Understanding Oxidative Stress and Autophagy in the Tumor Microenvironment.”
Experimental Evidence Suggests
Connective tissue breaks down from oxidation and feeds the cancer cells
which, in turn, secrete h2O2 in fibroblasts to get more food
Autophagy provides:
1) nutrients for the cancer
2) ROS mutates cancer cells to aid their avoidance of chemo and radiation
3) protection against apoptosis
AND
Otto Warburg was half right
cancer is glycolytic
fibroblasts are oxidative
But once these cells mix together – they reverse roles
cancer cells thrive on mitochondrial fuel lactate and ketones
AND
Cancer cells and oxidative stress
– cancer cells upregulate own antioxidants perioxiredoxin while benefiting from fibroblasts being oxidized and leading to autophagy.
AND
Caveolin enzyme disappears – this is bad
as it is a trigger for more oxidative stress and
NAC preserves Caveolin (kills cancer)
Metformin (anti-complex 1 inhibitor) preserves Caveolin which kills cancer
Choloquin preserves Caveolin which kills cancer
Treatment Strategy
NAC blocks the ROS which fuels cancer by spreading autophagy
of fibroblasts in the nest of connective tissue which protects the developing cancer cells.
DNA damage
– mostly in Connective tissue (most mutations take place in stroma)
block with NAC
block with NO inhibitor
Rx antioxidants
Rx Metformin is anticancer since it is a mitochondrial poison
15 studies 25-75% reduction all types of cancers in (listen to youtube 19:40 -20:20)
Avoid lactate and ketones
– metastatic disease is 10X more with ketones and lactate
WARNING: the standard of care is for oncologists to give IV lactate ringers (causing metastasis (listen to youtube video at 13:07) SO, don’t allow your doctor to give you IV lactated ringer solution (cancer love lactate and it encourages metastases!)
