Coffee Consumption Linked To Lower Risk Of Liver Cancer.
The Guardian Express (10/24, 64K) reports that research published in Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology suggests that “people who drink three cups of Joe per day may lower their chances of getting liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) by 40 percent or more.”
The Daily Mail (UK) (10/24, 2.92M) reports that investigators came to this conclusion after conducting “a meta-analysis of articles published between 1996 and September 2012, involving 16 high-quality studies and a total of 3,153 cases.” The research “also included data on 900 more recent cases of HCC published since the last detailed research in 2007.”
